Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (β€œTerms”) govern your use of the Law Friends Society (β€œLFS”, β€œwe”, β€œus”, β€œour”) training services, including online CPD video training, live conferences, and any associated resources delivered via lawfriends.net.

By booking, registering, or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Online Training – Access All Areas Package

  • All bookings must be made through lawfriends.net.
  • One person, one account. Each subscription is for the named individual account holder only.
  • Each account runs for twelve (12) months from the date of activation with unlimited access for the account holder.
  • Group discounts are available for firms purchasing three or more accounts.
  • Certificates of completion are automatically emailed to the registered account holder upon completion of each course.
  • Accounts are monitored for overuse. Any suspected sharing, unauthorised use, or use by persons other than the account holder may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
  • All content, including videos, recordings, images, written materials, and audio, remains the copyright of Law Friends Society and may not be copied, shared, distributed, or used by any other person or organisation without prior written consent.

2. Conference & Event Terms

  • No refunds will be issued for event bookings.
  • Tickets are non-transferable.
  • Delegates must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the advertised start time for registration.
  • Late arrivals will not be admitted once sessions have commenced to avoid disruption.
  • Mobile phones must be switched to silent throughout the event.
  • The CPD course code will only be provided at the close of the event and under no circumstances beforehand.
  • Delegates must attend the full event in order to claim full CPD hours. Partial attendance will not qualify for CPD certification.
  • Lunch is not provided unless explicitly stated in the event listing. Delegates must return promptly from breaks.
  • Courteous and professional behaviour is required at all times. LFS reserves the right to refuse admission or request any delegate to leave if behaviour is deemed inappropriate.

3. General Terms & Conditions

Compliance

All training provided is designed to meet CPD and Continuing Competence requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Bar Standards Board (BSB). Delegates are responsible for ensuring training meets their individual regulatory requirements.

Payment

  • All fees must be paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • VAT is applied where applicable.

Cancellations & Transfers

  • Online training subscriptions are non-refundable once activated.
  • Event bookings are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the training materials, including video, audio, slides, written content, and branding, remains with LFS or its licensors. Materials are provided solely for personal CPD use by the registered delegate and may not be reproduced, shared, or distributed.

Liability

LFS makes every effort to ensure accuracy of training materials and information. However, no liability is accepted for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from reliance on such materials. LFS does not provide legal advice. Content is for training and educational purposes only.

Data Protection

We comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation. By registering, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Personal data is used for administration of training records, compliance certificates, and communication of relevant updates.

Force Majeure

LFS shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including strikes, illness, venue closures, technical outages, or public emergencies).

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
