October 2024 London Immigration & Asylum Law Annual 7CPD Training Conference

10 October 2024

On 10th October 2024, we presented a comprehensive essential update conference for your CPD and continuing competence year-end sign-off. The Law Friends Immigration Team brought you a full day of thorough CPD training at the Mary Ward Centre in central London.

As the Law Friends community broadens, we welcomed increased participation at our conferences. We were thrilled to work with the highly accoladed 36 Group, whose immigration barristers presented two training update seminars alongside Great James Street Chambers, who we are delighted to continue to work with, with the fantastic One Pump Court in attendance as well.

We were very excited to bring 36 Immigration further into the fold with ace speaker Sandra Akinbola presenting on People Trafficking accompanying conference favourite, "the Maestro," Raphael Jesurum on Fairness.

The afternoon started with ‘Very Compelling Matters in Deportation Matters’ by Chengetai Mupara, representing Law Friends favourite Great James Street Chambers, before his colleague Amanda Jones presented on appeals.

Expert training presenter and immigration barrister Priya Solanki presented proceedings on Appendix FM, before we welcomed newcomer Dr Emily Turton to discuss your clients’ common mental health conditions.

As is a Law Friends tradition, we attended Callaghan’s Irish Bar, where we welcomed a well-deserved wind down with our Law Friends community after the conference.

These conferences took place in October 2024, therefore tickets are no longer available for in person attendance. However, you can access all of the content from the conferences via our online CPD training packs. If you want access to our Online Video CPD package, you can subscribe as an individual or a firm.
