Part Suitability: Changes to Suitability Requirements from November 2025

Speaker: Amanda Jones
Date: 2026

IMMIGRATION

Amanda is a specialist in immigration and public law. She has advised and appeared in
numerous immigration matters in the Court of Appeal, and in the Administrative Court on
appeals, judicial review and injunctions.
In this presentation, Amanda highlights key changes to immigration routes which have
changed significantly since November 2025. All of the suitability requirements apart from a
few exceptions are now governed by Part Suitability. Significant changes relate partly to
private life but mostly, and most significantly, to family life under Appendix FM. The new Part
Suitability will apply to applications decided after November 2025 and not just to new
applications made after those dates.
