EXTRADITION
George Hepburne Scott is an experienced expert extradition defence specialist with
experience in all types of cases brought under the Extradition Act 2003. This includes Part 1
cases, Part 2 cases. He is Head of Extradition at Church Court Chambers.
In this talk, George explains the general position of double jeopardy in extradition and how
Part 1 and Part 2 warrants can be re-issued and often are. However, a growing line of
authority in the high court brings forward principles in re-issue cases and can defeat
repeated applications. He refers to relevant case law.
