Daniel is ranked in the Legal 500, and has a practice in civil and public law. He is a specialist in the following areas: immigration and asylum, housing and community care, police and prison inquests, and actions against the State. Daniel acts for claimants and bereaved families. He has particular experience in cases involving discriminatory conduct by public authorities. Before coming to the Bar, Daniel was the international law adviser at the British Red Cross.

 

In this update, Daniel presents an overiew of two important cases. The first is an appeal to the Court of Appeal, involving questions of “minded to” letters, proceedings in the family court, and discharge of duty decisions. The second was a judicial review of the suitability of accommodation secured by the defendant for the claimants.
