Ghislaine is committed to being an anti-racist lawyer and challenges institutional racism in every aspect that in she witnesses it during her practice.
Ghislaine begins by outlining decades of evidence that demonstrates the existence of institutional racism, citing common examples of the ways in which this takes place, from embellishing offences to racial profiling. She highlights the impact this has on children, explaining that Black children are overrepresented in all stages of the Youth Justice System. She then goes on to give practical guidance on how to tackle this directly as police station representatives.
