Following the outstanding response to last year’s Immigration Law Conference, the Law Friends team returns on Thursday 29 October 2026 for Day Four of Law Friends CPD Week.
This full-day event brings together leading immigration law practitioners for focused, practical training. Delegates will receive seven hours of CPD for just ÂŁ75.

Speakers from Great James Street, 36 Group and Church Court
The conference programme brings together an impressive collection of Law Friends Ambassadors to the stage.
Amanda Jones of Great James Street Chambers will present a double session exploring Skilled Worker Changes introduced across 2025–2026, the direction of future policy, and the practical challenges surrounding visitor visas and judicial review. Her colleague Chengetai Mupara will provide focused guidance on sponsor licences, while Sandra Akinbola of the 36 Group will assess the UK–France “One In, One Out” agreement one year on. Lucia Coerman of Church Court Chambers will conclude by considering how practitioners can navigate temporary leave for victims of trafficking or slavery following a Conclusive Grounds decision.
Extra Sessions
The programme also broadens the discussion beyond legal doctrine. Dr Emily Turton of Turton Psychological Services will examine the psychological dimensions of immigration cases, including trauma and vulnerability, and consider when expert evidence can make a meaningful contribution.
Valerie Charbit of Red Lion Chambers and Nicola Shannon KC of Furnival Chambers will also present a video callout for Kindness Ambassadors, adding a collaborative and human-centred perspective to the day.
